Dew Tour

A few months ago the Dew Tour was happening at a local resort.
I had never been before but had heard it was a lot of fun.
A few of us decided to go check it out.

we met the yetti... (spelling?)

pretty sure that i love chellers -- and she is the best room roommate ever.

huge huge St. Bernard's.
they were such pretty dogs.

but i would have to say that the best part of the whole day was spending it with this guy,
hand in hand. :)

alissa's comedy & ugly sweater shin dig

my friend alissa is hilarious.
tara convinced her to have a comedy night & we all wore ugly sweaters.
there was tons of food & lots of friends.
here are just a few shots from the night (thanks to julene!)

a thought over christmas

one sunday morning, i lay in my mom's bed. she has already left to go to her church meetings so i am left in the house. the stillness of my mom's home, me snuggled in the sheets and blankets, the background noise of the furnace, vague sounds of the cars passing on the street, and my thoughts.

always around this time of year i think of keltson. that time of year was when we met and our story was written.

for the past couple years i had always thought about him "on his mission." it was natural for me not to hear from him or see him because of that reason. this particular morning, something dawned on me.

right now, this christmas of 2010 he would be home.
we might be dating, we might not.
we might be spending christmas with each others families, or maybe spending them alone with our families.
we might be picking up right where we left off, or we might not.

it was the most surreal thought.
that he could be home.
right now.

i had never thought about it. i wish it were true. i really miss him.

Monday Morning

I am driving to school this morning,
coming up the hill to the boulevard where my school sits,
waiting patiently for the light to turn green so the stream of left-turners can make their way north.

During that wait,
the white Jimmy in front of me decides to pull out into the lane next to us.

But wait.

He has no traction.

zip.
zero.
zilch.
nada.

His one wheel was spinning out of control,
but he wasn't moving anywhere.

I was so worried that he was going to fall right back down the hill,
...and into me.

The traveling cars in those two lanes weren't aware really of the situation and were driving around him.
I felt really bad for little Jimmy.
And scared.

no more accidents this year for Andrea please.

I hope all of your winter driving is safe!
