La Jolla Groves

after my math 1050 final i booked it to my mom's to relax.

one of the places we went was a place called La Jolla Gardens.
oh so good!
(i mean really! just look at our desserts!)

the entrance looked like you were in italy for sure!
tree's with lemon's on them, strings of white lights, and the ambiance in general was exquisite.

we invited our cousin, krisitin, to come with us.
because of course we went shopping after.

412 Bistro

Mom and Georgianne had the quiche. It was so super tastey! The picture on top was Georgianne's and she ordered the Cesear Salad. Doesn't it look divine?

Em ordered the chicken croissant.

I had the Idaho trout with fresh green beans, and toasted almonds on top. With a diet coke of course. :)

It was finally time for our weekend girls trip to Park City.
Waldorf Astoria here we come!
Have you even been there?
You should.
Just sayin'.

Thursday night it was mostly Pat, Keely and myself.
Mom was coming in from out of town.
We went to dinner at a restaurant called Cesero's, and it was super tastey.
Our waiter was...a little...odd. Mmm... maybe a lot odd. He would talk to us in different accents. Italian, English, Southern, normal Utahn... ya know.. whatev. It was weird.
By the end of the meal I was thinking, "Do I need to tip one waiter...or 4?"

(even though she couldn't be there with us, we still thought of her)

I had 3 stuffed pasta shells stuffed with hamburger, spinach and spices, topped with cheese cheese cheese!

Pat and Keely.

We finished the night with some grocery shopping (gotta have some healthy fruit for breakfast.) I got to see who got kicked off American Idol (bye James Durban {sad face}) and lots of visiting. :)

Friday morning we just slept in and relaxed. I was done sleeping earlier than everyone else so I decided to utilize the gym and go for a run. It was glorious! I had the best sweat I have had in a long time. I love sweating because it just releases all the crap stored in your body and you release endorphins. But that is a tangent for another time, right?
We chose to eat lunch at our favorite spot, The Eating Establishment
It was tastey.
Pat and I split a BLT and a chicken avacado sandwich.
Holy delcious to both of those.
The view walking out of the hotel is very pretty. This is how we began our day. :)
The cute mom's and their cokes. :)
Historical Park City Main Street.
Deep in conversation -- of course!
The daughter's. She's kinda like a sister/friend too.
Doesn't that coke look sooooo thirst quenching??
Keely and Pat.

My lovely mom. :)

All of us at the Eating Establishment.

Our mom's LOVE this store! They spend forever in there!

That afternoon we crafted, napped, watched movies, and just relaxed. We went to dinner at Red Rock.
Mom and I split a salmon dinner that was very good.

We didn't take any pictures Saturday...or Sunday haha! Sorry this post of Park City was kind of lame.
The next one will be better I promise!

Have you ever been to Park City?
Did you have a good weekend?

Festival Of Colors

The weekend after Spring Break, a few of us went to the Indian Festival of Colors down in Spanish Fork.
(Remember all those people I was telling you about that I had fro-yo and went hiking with over spring break?? Here they are again!)
Alissa, Meagan, Chelsey, and I picked Trevor up in SLC (he was practicing singing for the Priesthood session of General Conference.) We met up with 2 of his friends when we were down there.

This was a lot of fun! I would so do it again! I was covered (as you can tell) in chalk dust. I saw a few people I  knew from high school, my job at Macey's and from EFY my last year.

I made sure to document the whole event. So here we go!

It was a couple miles from where we parked to where the temple was. Jokingly, we had commented on how nice it would be if one of these trucks would give us a ride up. I stuck my arm and hand out in the traditional hitch-hiker "thumbs up" sign. My hand was out there for a total of 3 seconds maybe, and a truck motioned for us to come jump in! So...we did! Well Trevor, Meagan and myself!

This was the first sight of the temple we saw coming around the corner.

Trevor's 2 friends we met up with, Meagan, me, and Trevor.

That pink blob of stuff is chalk dust. That is what is all over us and everything else. Everyone is constantly throwing chalk at everyone. Haha! it is great fun!

We were standing next to this group that were taking pictures and I offered to take some pictures for them. One girl turned around and goes, "ANDREA!" It was my friend Kayla that I worked with at Macey's and she nows goes to Weber also!

We all were very hungry. We found this little stand that were selling these kinda....spaghetti subs...is probably what I would call them. They are a new Indian restaurant that is opening up. They hollow out these subs and fill it with the spaghetti kinda stuff. Soooo good! If you are in the Salt Lake area when this Beli restaurant opens, check it out!

Alissa and me.

Holy packed right?! There were over 30,000 people on Saturday that were there! After the "burning of the witch" we had "the throwing." Everyone gets their bags of chalk dust and we count down from 10 & then we throw them in the air. It looks really cool! However, I know know what it feels like to suffer from suffocation. I couldn't see things 2 feet in front of me, nor could I breathe. If I breathed through my nose, it couldn't filter the air fast enough. If I breathed through my mouth, it would get all gritty. Bleh. Next year, I will be prepared!

Chelsey and myself.

Trying to walk out!

COVERED!!!

Oh Lee... :) We like to make new friends wherever we go. He seemed pretty cool and had some funny things to say. Lissa had given him a hand out thing that was about running and said, "give it to him! he looks like a runner!" and Lee says, "Why?? Cuz i'm black?!" haha! we thought it was funny. He kept walking with us and started talking about his addictions and how he was down there in re-hab and stuff. (Hmm.... maybe we should walk slower so he can walk his own way...) haha

Then we saw an accident walking back to the car. One vintage car hit the car in front of it, which hit the car in front of it. Then they all kept driving. Stupid!
Meagan was a smarty and called 911 to report it. :)

Since we got separated from Trevor, we saw him at the car. I didn't have my cell phone to get a hold of him, so I had to call my mom, to log on to my t-mobile account to find his number. Oh thank you technology.
We played games the whole way home.

Right after this picture was taken, us girls went to the back of that building and changed our clothes. Right as we were finished, a car full of boys pulls up next to the building haha! As we are all getting in the car, I thought everyone was in so I started driving away. Alissa says, "Shut UP!" She wasn't in the car! Whoopsie!! We all laughed and I felt bad but I was just getting ready to go haha! Anyway, she later tells me that I ran over her toe. :( Sorry Alissa!

It was such a fun day! I am glad we all got to go. I really like spending time with all these people, and I am so grateful they are all my friends. :)
