every once in a while you have "those mornings."
you know?
the ones where you are like "for the love! is this really happening right now?" well... some mornings are worse than others, and luckily this morning wasn't one that i wanted to rip my hair it, crawl back into bed and pull the covers over my face. LUCKILY it was a very mild one of "those mornings."
jeff and i like to save money. we are all about it in fact. so we turn off the a/c at night and usually open the window in our room for the cool air. well 2 nights ago our neighbors dogs (yes dogsssss, plural) they were barking. all. night. long. (gah! really?!) so i didn't sleep very well at all. last night we decided to bring our box fan into our room, set it on the bookshelf by our bed and turn it on low. i slept a ton better! but those box fans... they aren't all that quiet. so in the morning when my alarm is going off, it is being drowned out by the box fan. the Lord was looking out for us for sure because I woke up & faintly heard the buzzing of my phone vibration sound accompanied with my annoying alarm sound. what a tender mercy that i didn't wake up late!
i am getting ready for the day: make up, bun for the hair, throwing on some clothes, etc. i try to be a good little wife and make the hubby a sandwich for lunch to eat between classes. i run in give my sleepy husband a kiss and start grabbing my stuff to head out for work.
(que: run outside.)
it is 6:40 in the morning and as i walk out to our driveway i realize that jeff parked behind me. i might have said a profane word under my breath and run inside to wake him.
(run inside.)
i give him an ultimatum, move the jeep or switching cars for the day. he opts to just switch for the day. i run back outside to put my stuff in the jeep and remember, "oh i need my work keys!"
(run back outside then..)
(run back inside.)
well when jeff decided we would just switch cars for the day, i took my keys off my key ring and left them with him. not only were they my car keys, but my house keys as well. (que face palm here) i head back to the front door and start knocking... then i start pounding on the door because it feels like i am knocking for an eternity. jeff hesitantly notcies that it his what now looks like his derranged wife and i make my way in saying, "my work keys are in my car! i need to get to my car!" i run to the bedroom, grab the keys, run back outside to my car, grab my work keys, then run back inside to hand my car keys back to jeff.
(run inside, then...)
(back outside, then........)
(back inside.)
i tell him, you also have my house keys here too so if you need anything from the house during the day, it will have to wait. "alright! see ya later!" i say as i run outside shutting the door behind me.
(run outside.)
now, you can see how many times i ran in and out of my house this morning, probably just in a matter of 5-6 minutes. holy canolie! i think i have completed my work out for the morning.
since then, my morning has run very smoothly. and i am very glad it did not get any worse than that!
phew!
