Conference Weekend :)

How can you wake up, get ready knowing you get to spend the morning in this wonderful, and absolutely gorgeous building. Where your spirit gets fed, and your knowledge and love for the gospel will grow. What a magnificent blessing it is that we get to live here, where the head of the church is, where the prophet and leaders of the church reside. We are so blessed, and we take it for granted. President Monson talks about how people prepare for a year to see him when he comes to visit. We have such a luxury to be able to walk downtown through temple square, to just flip on our TV's and radios and be surrounded by the music and spirit of our beloved leaders and one of the most amazing choirs on the earth.

Then the fact that there are 5 new temples...wow! and in ROME!! that is absolutely amazing! That is another thing -- how blessed are we here in the Salt Lake Valley?? We have the Salt Lake Temple, Jordan River Temple, (soon to be) Draper, and Oquirrh Temples. And within reach, we have the Timpanogas and Provo Temples, and Bountiful Temple, and just a little further than those we have the Logan, and Ogden Temples, and Manti Temple, and at the bottom of the state we have the St. George temple :) In the Salt Lake Valley alone, we are all withinn....20 minutes of a temple, and many people travel days to go to the temple. It is my goal to take advantage of the temple more. Thousands of people in heaven are waiting to be baptized into the Lords church, WE are the only ones able to help them. We must.

What a blessing it was to be able to go and partake of this experience. How I love this gospel and our prophet.
