surprises

oh so much!

at my office my back faces the entrance.

so i have a little mirror on my monitor to see when people come in.

i am on the phone with my mom & I see someone walk in.

i recognize the persons stance and turn around super quick to find that it was the person who i thought it was!

i got the biggest grin on my face,

said to my mom,

"i have to call you back!"

hung up.

squealed an, "oh my gosh! what are you doing here?!"

as i jump out of my chair and throw my arms around one of my members from SLC.

he was here for a meeting and decided to stop in & say hi!

such a highlight of my day!

i drove down to my madre's house Sunday night.

i had a dentist appointment Monday morning.

my dear friend Rose works at the dental office.

we had made plans to go to breakfast after my cleaning.

she tells me she has a "surprise."

and has me follow her further west into the city.

i keep thinking, "there is no one out here that you and i both know -- i know people out here because i went to school out here, but who do you know out here too??"

all of a sudden it hits me!

it had to be Liz!

so we went and had coffee cake and milk for breakfast,

caught up on life,

and just had a really wonderful chat. :)
